Tir-a-Mor Description

We could do with more places like Tir-a-Mor. With a perfectly plain dining room that gives directly on to the street, it has no pretensions and places all the attention where it matters - on the food, all of which has that indeterminate feeling of identity between itself and the person at the stoves. Much of the food is locally sourced and the beef and fish in particular are noteworthy. Little touches like walnut bread, home-made of course, with the Welsh cheeses help to convince that here are people who really care about what they offer. The same goes for the wines, which have been well thought through, with a good house wine at £10.95.

Six of us dined here on May 13, 2009 and I have to say that the cuisine is absolutely first class, as is the service and the ambience. We dine out regularly in Cheshire and this restaurant is an absolute gem. We need a place just like this in Prestbury. Well done to everyone concerned.
