Tir-a-Mor Description
We could do with more places like Tir-a-Mor. With a perfectly plain dining room that gives directly on to the street, it has no pretensions and places all the attention where it matters - on the food, all of which has that indeterminate feeling of identity between itself and the person at the stoves. Much of the food is locally sourced and the beef and fish in particular are noteworthy. Little touches like walnut bread, home-made of course, with the Welsh cheeses help to convince that here are people who really care about what they offer. The same goes for the wines, which have been well thought through, with a good house wine at £10.95.

We ate at Tir-a-mor a month ago and this was the best meal I have had in years. The couple who own it, ran another restaurant years ago which we frequented. I haven’t enjoyed a meal like it since and now they are back in business. The chef is fantastic and the service exceptional. The decor is lovely and highly recommended.

We ate at Tir a Mor in May and was very impressed by everything the place had to offer. It has recently changed hands in March and the new owners have given it a long awaited face lift. The decor is minimal but very effective. There is real attention to detail from the free little pot of olives we received when we sat down to the beautiful home made puddings. The service was efficient, food was great and again, puddings were magnificent. Best restaurant in town and will definitely visit this Criccieth restaurant again.
