Tony Tobin at The Dining Room

59A High Street, Reigate, RH2 9AE

Since early 2002 Tony Tobin has been Chef/Patron at The Dining Room in Reigate, where hitherto he was employed as Head Chef. Given a freer hand there have been changes, mostly for the better and Tony's blend of European and Oriental ideas is proving fruitful. A set menu of two courses costs £19.95 and could start with a rich Mediterranean fish soup with garlic croutons and aioli. The tagine of lamb and apricots with cracked wheat, lemon and mint chermoulah would follow well. Another £6.50 would add on a good choice of desserts should the demons of hunger still be gnawing at you. The wine list has a special French Reserve section and there is also a good selection drawn from a wider church.

REVIEWS OF Tony Tobin at The Dining Room

Elaine Clark (20 October 2008)

I have eaten at The Dining Room on many occasions, and the food is excellent along with great service. On most of the occasions I have been in the restaurant, Tony has come out of the kitchen and spoken to customers, but I might just have been lucky to have been there on nights when he was around. They are fairly expensive, but for the quality of the food and service along with a great atmosphere, it is certainly worth it.

Julie Edwards (11 January 2007)

The food was excellent - the taster menu is a brilliant way to sample more of the dishes. Staff were attentive and friendly. Tony Tobin was there to say 'Hello' and to comment to. Definitely recommend as a must do experience.
