Trawlers on the Quay Description
It does not take a genius to guess what might be primarily on offer in this funky little quayside restaurant, a few yards from the fish market.
However, what adds the spice in more ways than one is Louisiana-born Todd Varnedoe who blends the cooking skills of his homeland with the abundance of fresh materials available to him.
Cajun seafood gumbo, mixed grill of fish a la Louisiane, pan-fried Creole crab-cakes sit alongside meat and vegetarian choices.
Service is good and there is a modest wine list, with knowledgeable variety. House Burgundy by the bottle at £9.25 or £2.30 a glass.
