An attractive and deservedly popular country inn in beautiful natural surroundings serving, amongst other things, the best of Cornish. The brûlée of ewe's cheese with wild mushrooms, the brûlée made from the Devon Vulscombe cheese, makes an admirable starter. Follow with the fillets of local sea bass, grilled and served on a smoked mussel broth. Then die happy in the knowledge that at least before you went you relished the chocolate fondant, a baked chocolate cake with a gooey centre, accompanied by glazed banana and rum and raisin sauce. Excellent food from a well balanced menu with something for everyone. Service is efficient and friendly. The wine list is wow. Love the place.

They have no fixed price menus anymore just fantastic food and the wine list is of biblical proportions - three great local beers for sale and different areas to suit all. There is a family room, bar and a cosy bistro. The gardens are superb for kids to explore so just get yourself there and enjoy.
