For those tired of the customary seafood served at Indian restaurants, Trishna is like a whiff of fresh air as they aspire to bring in an innovative take on coastal fare. The interior of smoked oak, tumbled marble, brick work and glass helps in creating an informal atmosphere, and if you'd like to spend some time alone with your family or friends head to the kala ghoda table with a wine cellar as a backdrop.
Dishes are presented in a well-defined manner and encourage sharing; start off with carom seed and coriander stem crusted Koliwada shrimp with sweet red chilli chutney and grilled lamb chops marinated in ginger and Kashmiri chilli and served with mustard mooli. For mains there's fish curry cooked with coastal spices and coconut and whole baby chicken soaked in a curry leaf and white lentil marinade.
The wine list is designed to complement the cuisine with a special emphasis on Old World producers.

Trishna London is one of the greatest new venues in London. Excellent Indian food adjusted for the European taste, matched with professional and very friendly service. Good wine and drink on offer, and definitely worth a try.

I've read mixed reviews on this restaurant, mainly positive, but a few strange one off negative ones. So obviously I then had to visit it for myself. I have only one word to describe it – delicious. It was light, fresh and tasty, especially the squid. The atmosphere was relaxed and the members of staff were warm and friendly. It is highly recommended for those who love seafood.
