La Trouvaille specialises in the down to earth, country cuisine of south-west France with strong flavours, served in an uncompromising fashion by friendly, helpful young French waiters.
Choices could include: pan-fried black bream with fresh whites beans and samphire salad; Herdwick mouton filet (ulpha valley), lavender sauce, garlic and courgettes; slow cooked oxtail with crayfish served with mash potatoes or pork filet with peas and broad beans, purple mustard.
Their wine list is regional also, and concentrates on the south of France, surprisingly to the extent of no Burgundy or Bordeaux even.
