Twisted Oak, The

We went to Twisted Oak as a birthday treat and phoned in advance to say that one of our party was a three year old and were told that was not a problem. We waited quite a while for our meal, our grandson stayed near our table and there was no one near us. The lady owner stood looking at us, and glared at the three year old. Instead of coming up to us and asking us to keep him seated, she chose to glare at us, not very professional. This was 8.30pm not 10pm and having watched the children near us running all over without someone speaking to them, this seemed unfair and we will not return.

We visited a family in Ide in May and were told to try The Twisted Oak. We did and I must say we loved it, so much so we went there three times. The pub itself is well laid out and decorated. The food was excellent and well presented. The staff were pleasant, especially the barman from Rugby, he is a great asset to the management. We will definitely visit again.
