The Phoenix is situated in a quiet residential area on Smith Street which runs south from the Kings Road close to the Duke of York's Barracks. The pub nestles attractively with a southerly facing aspect and offers substantial terraced outdoor seating.

Tom's Kitchen
This latest venture from the keen mind of Tom Aikens has a brasserie on the ground floor, a first floor bar, all topped with a private dining room. Quite how that works out for supply from the kitchen I have not presumed to ask, and in any case it does not seem to affect the quality of the food.

Admiral Codrington, The
Although a pub with a large bar that has a bit of a reputation for appealing to Sloane Rangers and American tourists, the Admiral Codrington actually attracts a lot of its customers for its food. While snacks are available in the bar, the courtyard behind the pub has been covered over and converted to a restaurant, with a ceiling that can be opened when the weather is fine enough to dine alfresco.
