Cafe du Jardin, Le

Now well established over many years in its prominent corner position on Wellington Street in Covent Garden, this delightful, coolly decorated restaurant has maintained high standards throughout. The brainchild of gentle giant Tony Howorth, formerly the chef at Le Caprice, you will find many dishes that they have adopted as their signature ones - but originally his - on Cafe du Jardin's menu.

  • Cuisine(s): Modern British
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: £23.00, Dinner: £42.00

Cafe in the Crypt at St Martin

With its unique setting in the crypt of London's famous and imposing St Martin's In The Field church, the Café in the Crypt is an interesting place to dine. Its close proximity to Trafalgar Square certainly attracts plenty of tourists but the crowd is still varied.

  • Address: Trafalgar Square, Duncannon Street, London, WC2N 4JJ (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Budget, Café
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £21.00

Cafe Pacifico

Café Pacifico on 5 Langley Street is perhaps London's most realistically recreated Mexican cantina, and is housed in a building, which was originally used as a banana-ripening warehouse during the time when Covent Garden was still the fruit and vegetable market for London.

  • Address: 5 Langley Street, London, WC2H 9JA (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Mexican
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £37.00

Cafe Pasta

Book Online

Cafe Pasta may be part of a large chain of restaurants, but it is nevertheless a stylish eatery with a relaxed cafe feel. The unpretentious menu specialises in Italian fare and it does not limit itself to pastas alone, but goes on to list a range of grills, salads and risottos.

  • Address: 184 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, WC2H 8JB (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Pizza & Pasta
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: N/A, Dinner: £29.00

Cafe Pasta - Garrick Street

Cafe Rouge - Wellington Street

Café Rouge has around one hundred branches throughout Britain all offering a wide range of dishes drawn from the French cuisine. Slightly less than half their branches are in or close to London. Almost inevitably the décor and design of each restaurant differs from the others, but there is a general curtsy towards La France.

  • Address: 34 Wellington Street, London, WC2E 7BD (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): French, Café
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: £21.00, Dinner: £26.00

  • Cuisine(s): Budget

Canton

Canton is one of the more basic Chinatown restaurants. Rather than a place to linger over dinner, its popular with the hasty pre and post pub and theatre crowd looking for a well priced but enjoyable meal to indulge in and then move on.

  • Address: 11 Newport Place, London, WC2H 7JR (Map)
  • Cuisine(s): Chinese
  • Avg. Cost Per Head Lunch: £15.00, Dinner: £24.00
