It's an idea that has been brewing in Tony Kitous mind for some time. As he says, 'it's something I've always wanted to do'. Comptoir Libanias means Lebanese counter and that's exactly what it is: somewhere you can eat casually with no fuss. The first restaurant opened at Westfield Shopping Centre and now Tony has brought his signature design and style to the West End. The interior is fresh and modern, with a little touch of the souk, with embroidered handbags from Marrakech and ingredients to cook at home, and the ambience is light and airy.

The menu offers everything from dips to mezze bites, savoury flatbreads, tagines, wraps, salads through to pastries and cakes. Pick a few dishes and share them with friends. Forget the knife and fork - mezze is finger food. Or put your feet up after shopping, and indulge in rosewater macaroons and homemade lemonades.

Located on the ground floor of the BBC's Media Centre, Wood Lane Davy's White City boasts a large, open and airy space that combines traditional decor with clean, modern lines resulting in a light and refreshing ambience. Open from 9.00 am for a welcome cup of coffee, the White City branch offers a simple grill menu at lunchtime and in the evening with specialities such as wild basmati rice salad with smoked chicken and watercress, alongside freshly prepared hot and cold sandwiches for those wanting a light lunch or a quick snack.

Other treats include yellowfin tuna with olives, beans and new potatoes, Mediterranean sausages with potato gnocchi and Thai green vegetable curry. You could match them with a hearty soup of chicken, couscous and coriander or butternut squash with toasted pine nuts and crème fraîche. An excellent range of wines by the glass and bottle is offered including Davy's top quality house wines. Additional fine wines from the cellar are also on offer.

The industrial look is genuine and those behind the scenes at The Green Room in Shepherd's Bush have ensured that the vibes that you get on entering this smart and trendy bar are more along the lines of a feel-good factor. Large TV screens on the walls beam sports and music while purple pool tables help create an unmistakeably hip atmosphere. Large, airy and comfortable, it seems like the perfect spot to host a noisy party or to even just hang around with friends.

It's easy to indulge yourself with some of the tasty snacks on offer, such as prawns with sweet chilli, honey chipolatas, deep fried kalamari or beef nachos. Those looking for more substantial food could try the fish cakes with tartar sauce and fries or a vegetable stir fry. Sip on some of the sparkling cocktails such as mojitos and margaritas or settle for something from the concise but well thought out wine list.

The chefs from the original Monty's restaurant on South Ealing Road have since parted company and set up on their own, explaining why you can now find a selection of Monty's restaurants in the area. The favourite amongst locals who know the difference seems to be the one at 54 Northfield Avenue. Here you'll find well-cooked dishes from good old favourites to the more adventurous, and portions are generous to say the least.

Reef Restaurant skilfully updates the classic British fish and chip shop and combines  style and casual dining in a warm, convivial atmosphere. The restaurant is situated opposite Station Parade on Burlington Lane and attracts diners with its contemporary décor, relaxed ambience and superb food.

Alongside staple dishes of cod, haddock, plaice, or scampi all served with chunky chips and tartare sauce, Reef also offers a seasonal menu with choices like smoked haddock fish cakes with salad and aioli, or mussels in creamy white sauce served with chips and mayo. There are also a number of more exotic dishes such as Goan curry of fish or chicken with rice, naan and chutney. Little diners might be interested in battered haddock or cod with chips, fish goujons with chips, ice cream or a sorbet.

A selection of wines, cocktails and champagne add to the pleasure of dining at the Reef Restaurant. Private parties can enjoy al fresco moonlight dinners in the heated garden.
