Browns Pie Shop
For the devout, the cathedral buffs and other parties there could be few better stops as they leave Lincoln Cathedral than Brown's Pie Shop. Located at the top end of Steep Hill the premises are unassuming and operate on two floors.

Cheese Society, The
This tiny café - light and airy but yet intimate with a buzzy atmosphere - which only seats twenty four customers, has achieved considerable fame; they are featured as one of Rick Stein's Food Heroes and considered to be an essential stopping point in the BMW Food Ride Guide.

Frankie & Benny's New York Italian Restaurant & Bar - Lincoln
Frankie and Benny's combine the best of classic American and Italian in both style and cuisine. They specialise in home style cooking 'just like Mamma used to make it'. This is a great place to take the entire family and represents excellent value for money.

Kitchen, The
The Kitchen is a cafe serving traditional English food with a strong emphasis on fresh local produce. Full English breakfasts are served from 6.30 am Monday to Friday and 7 am on Saturday. A carvery lunch is available daily between midday and 3 pm, whilst on Sunday they offer three different roasts - fore rib of Lincoln red beef, leg of Lincolnshire lamb and leg of pork with fantastic crackling.

Lincoln Grille at White Hart Hotel
There can be few more alluring sites for a restaurant than in the shadow of one of Britain's finest cathedrals, though I have to confess to a certain prejudice. No matter, the opening of a third Grille restaurant is cause enough for rejoicing.
