The food draws intricate flavours from around Europe with a touch of innovation and the monthly changing menu prevents the palate from sliding into any risk of monotony. So there could be soused herrings with beetroot bound in horseradish, and Oriental chicken salad to start, followed by a rump steak with assorted chips and aioli, and tagliatelle with mussels and a white wine and herb sauce. Top this off with a winter berry trifle with toasted almonds, or an individual chocolate and pear tart with crème fraîche for desserts.
