Set in a charming old building built in 1795, The Mill Restaurant in Stone, Staffordshire, combines its rustic heritage with sophisticated design and a contemporary Mediterranean menu. Surrounded by stunning grounds, the place boasts an elegant interior and is a popular venue for weddings, birthdays and private dinner parties.

The Mill's lounge bar - with soft, deep-red leather sofas - is a chic spot for pre-post dinner cocktails, and the dining room has a discreet and romantic atmosphere. The menu is filled with classic dishes including the oven-baked lasagne served with garlic bread, whole sea bass baked with tomatoes, red onions and olives, and chicken liver pate with red onion marmalade. It is also famous for its traditional puddings.

Created and run by the same family for over 24 years, Granvilles is an informal restaurant and music bar in the popular market town of Stone. The cosmopolitan menu, offering dishes from all over the world, is regularly changed, and specials are always available.

Live music is a feature on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with regular performances from internationally famous musicians, including Ralph Allin, Kenny Ball, King Pleasure, Ruby Turner and in the past Humphrey Lyttleton and George Melly, now sadly both deceased.

The beautiful, secluded garden to the rear of the property has won the 'Stone in Bloom' award several years running and in 2008 Granvilles was awarded the Steelite 'Passion to Inspire' award at the Taste of Staffordshire ceremony.
