Austin's Bar and Bistro is located in the Durham Cricket Club and is a stylish spot to enjoy a meal in between cricket matches as well as to discuss and debate the latest happenings in the world of cricket over a cocktail.

Start with smoked salmon terrine flecked with Scandinavian style gravadlax and a lime horseradish dressing, chicken liver parfait with a Cumberland coulis and lightly spiced vegetable soup with local smoked cheese on toast. For main course consider boneless, skinless salmon with a maple syrup glaze served with crushed new potato and spring onion cake and braised beef with field mushrooms and garden herbs, red wine and shallots served in a puff pastry case. End with chocolate pannacotta with a coffee bean coulis and pear and fig tartin with a mulled wine syrup and crème fraiche.
