Housed in the picturesque Old Station building on Station Road in Corbridge, The Valley belongs to a chain of elegant Indian restaurants that gives diners a true experience of the sub-continent and its cuisines. Serving a range of authentic Indian dishes, the restaurant has made innovative use of its location to ferry guests by train and allowing them to place their orders so that dishes can be served immediately on arrival. The ambience is relaxed and informal and guests can indulge in some of their favourite dishes subtly flavoured with herbs and spices.

The à la carte menu carries a good selection of dishes with starters of chingri moslai, a prawn dish made with spices and served on a crispy salad, and chicken or lamb tikka served with minty yoghurt sauce. Mains include chef's recommendations of luari mangsho, strongly spiced lamb cooked with tomatoes, green pepper and fresh coriander, tandoori trout and an intensely spicy zhal zul, a Bangladeshi speciality of meat cooked with naga chillis.

The restaurant caters to large groups of people as well as the occasional lone traveller.
