Treehouse at The Alnwick Garden, The

Efforts by the Duchess of Northumberland to transform the grounds and gardens at her husband's ancestral home in Northumberland have met with varying responses, most of them favourable. Amongst her aims has been to capitalise on the unusual nature of the site with such responses as massive water-works, a poison garden and - a Tree House.

Valley Restaurant, The

Corbridge is not the first place I would have looked for an Indian restaurant, and so it was all the more welcome when I did come across it. This is an Indian alright but it has interesting overtones of other cuisines creeping in here and there, for which it is even better.
