Sukhothai - Headingley
4 St Annes Road, Headingley, Leeds, LS6 3NX [Map]
The only Thai restaurant in Yorkshire deemed worthy of a listing in the 2008 Good Food Guide, Sukhothai in Chapel Allerton, has been getting rave reviews ever since it opened in 2002. Now the winning formula has been introduced to a second outlet with the opening of a new Sukhothai in Headingley.
Head Chef and owner Ban Kaewkraikhot ran her own place in Bangkok for eight years and will remain in overall control of the cooking at both venues. Sukhothai is open for dinner until 11pm every day. The Headingley restaurant has undergone an extensive renovation to bring the décor and ambience in line with Chapel Allerton.
