Across its varied locations in the UK, The Living Room group of restaurants have become synonymous with delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere. From the á la carte, choose beer battered tiger prawns with a sweet chilli sauce and wasabi or something from the small plates selection which includes honey and mustard glazed baby sausages. Amongst main courses, the steak, ale and mushroom pie vies for attention alongside a rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce and chips and the Belgian waffles with vanilla ice cream qualifies for an exceedingly rich dessert. The drinks list has contemporary and classic wines and champagnes which meet all requirements suitably.

The Brasserie at West Park offers a creative and modern brasserie menu with an emphasis on locally sourced meats and seasonal produce. The result is a fresh balance of options, flavours and textures to stimulate the senses, creating a highly enjoyable, great dining experience and a vibrant ambiance. The thoroughly experienced team offer modern European classics and add an impressive selection of modern and retro sweets, all made on the premises.

Tempters from the char grill include pork cutlet with garlic, sage and rosemary, 10oz Spatchcock baby chicken with chili, ginger and tomato marinade and sausages with mustard mash and onion jus. Favourites margherita and pepperoni pizzas are listed alongside specials like seafood - king prawn, hot smoke salmon and mussels with lemon and herbs. Pasta and salads are also at hands. Desserts include sinful options such as pear and almond tart with chocolate sauce and baked coffee cheesecake with Bailey's cream. 

The only Thai restaurant in Yorkshire deemed worthy of a listing in the 2008 Good Food Guide, Sukhothai in Chapel Allerton, has been getting rave reviews ever since it opened in 2002. Now the winning formula has been introduced to a second outlet with the opening of a new Sukhothai in Headingley.

Head Chef and owner Ban Kaewkraikhot ran her own place in Bangkok for eight years and will remain in overall control of the cooking at both venues. Sukhothai is open for dinner until 11pm every day. The Headingley restaurant has undergone an extensive renovation to bring the décor and ambience in line with Chapel Allerton. The food and service are consistent with the high standards set in Chapel Allerton, while the menu content is identical.

Seared scallops, cucumber pickle and sweet chilli jam, or homemade black pudding and crispy belly pork, caramelised apples and cider dressing sound just right to set the boat afloat while the major event could follow with roast cod, baby fennel, chorizo and basil oil, or  guinea fowl breast, creamy mash, wild mushroom, broad bean and button onion velouté.
