It's always nice to find a restaurant which exceeds your expectations and with Aagrah, you will find a whole group of them spread across Yorkshire. At every location, their ideology remains the same, delicious Indian food served in remarkably comfortable and casually sophisticated surroundings. The story of Aagrah began in 1977 and continues to surprise people with their range of Kashmiri cuisine prepared with fresh produce and ingredients.

Expect to begin with starters such as prawn paratha, cooked with garlic, ginger and spices wrapped in flaky paratha and move on to murgh waziri, breast of chicken marinated with spices, grilled and cooked with a tarka sauce or a nihari, a typical dish from Lahore. The flavour of Hyderabad is evident alongside popular favourites of achari and rogan josh. There's also a selection of English dishes with grilled lamb chops or breaded scampi and the eclectic drinks list includes spirits, fine wines and champagnes.

The Tapas Tree Restaurant offers a warm, lively atmosphere in which to enjoy Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine. Established in nineteen ninety six it provides a unique experience where guests can enjoy the famous short eats as well as selected food from across the globe.

Start with a mix of black and green olives marinated in oil garlic and feta cheese, corn chips served with salsa, sour cream and melted cheese, and sliced baguette toasted with garlic and butter. If you prefer salads order goat's cheese crumbled together with tomato, onion and herb, toasted on French bread and topped with sesame seeds and served on a mixed leaf salad.  For main course try deep fried breaded butterfly prawns served with lemon mayonnaise and cooked chicken strips mixed with cheese, mustard, thyme and cream, topped with asparagus. Finish on a sweet note with sticky toffee pudding with creamy butterscotch sauce and raspberry sorbet.

Two award winning restaurants, piano music in the background, breathtaking views over the Aire valley and gardens at the front of the hotel complement this well-established dining venue.

The Heathcliff Restaurant, named after the dark, brooding character in Emily Bronte's classic, Wuthering Heights, is actually a contrast to its namesake, as it is bright, spacious and airy, and offers international cuisine. It has a well thought out menu, which includes an enjoyable section of mouth-watering dishes using fresh, high quality ingredients.

Spotted in Bingley Road, close to the World Heritage site Salts Mill and the Leeds-Liverpool canal, is a sassy little bar and brasserie called The Old Tramshed. Serving consistently tasty food bursting with colourful Mediterranean flavours, this place has been popular among locals and visitors alike since its beginnings in 2003. Live bands are another attraction here on Monday nights, while the genres of jazz, rhythm and blues take over every Thursday evening. The place is open only to singles for Sunday dinner and drinks, which gives it an endearingly quirky demeanour, promptly lapped up by locals.

There is a good choice of special deals on the menu and a typical meal could begin with a trio of smoked fish with horseradish crème fraîche, followed by breast of free-range chicken stuffed with smoked ham and gruyere. Alternatively, you could sample fillet of local beef on celeriac puree with wild mushrooms, red wine and veal and conclude with their famous blackcurrant cheesecake with passion fruit sorbet. Service at The Old Tramshed is friendly and welcoming, making it perfect for any occasion. That is of course with the exception of celebrating wedding anniversaries over Sunday drinks!
