Crofters Tavern
Crofters Hotel, A6 Cabus, Garstang, PR3 1PH [Map]
Crofters Hotel at Cabus near Garstang offers its guests the comfort of twenty-five comfortable and well furnished bedrooms and the Crofters Brasserie that focuses on creating modern British cuisine from the best of local and English produce, complemented by a range of well chosen wine.
The ambiance of the brasserie is luxurious and comfortable, with textured floors and well laid out tables and chairs.
Consider Morecambe Bay mussels, onion and leek cream broth or seared tuna, light soy marinated vegetables and salmon fishcakes to start. Move on to mains of asparagus and wild mushroom lasagne, chervil and cream velouté, roast pork fillet, onion and cider sauce with cabbage and bacon or a Goosnargh duck breast with parsnip tart and game sauce.
Do leave room for the desserts that may well include a tempting dark chocolate mousse with raspberry compote or lemon tart with passion fruit sauce.

B Thai
Brooklands Country Retreat and Health Spa, Calder House Lane, Garstang, PR3 1QB [Map]
If you're longing for a refreshing meal after being pampered with the treatments at the Brooklands Country Retreat and Spa, set in five acres of matured and beautifully landscaped gardens, then their in house Thai bistro will do very well thank you, though it is also open to all comers. Located in Garstang, Lancashire, this spa is a reaffirmation of the mantra that feeling good from within does work wonders on your appearance and provides the basis for a fair number of health and beauty treatments.
B Thai offers genuine Thai cuisine and includes favourites such as tod mun blaa, a delicious fishcake, tom kha, creamy coconut milk soup, and pad med ma-muang, a traditional stir fry. Locally sourced farm produce makes it way into most of the dishes although the chef does confess to importing some herbs, spices and even flowers from Thailand, but only to maintain the right level of authenticity. The serene atmosphere and relaxing surroundings make this a wonderful spot to have a satisfying meal.
