The question is whether, after watching the TV series anybody would ever want to go and stay at the Adelphi again. Apparently they do which must prove something though I'm not quite sure what. It is possible to dine in regal splendour in spaces that were meant to soften you up for the forthcoming cruise.

Seasons restaurant is a unique little place; sited in a refurbished old barn, which has been converted to a shop and a restaurant. This is relatively small, only holding up to thirty upstairs and ten down; a special feature is that there is a chef's table, where you can watch him at work.

Siam Garden

In its class this is probably one of the best in the city. No great frills and fussy décor but the real business of the food is certainly not short of attention. Easy access, though parking can be difficult if all the local residents stay at home to watch the football.
