The Banyan Tree (Peterborough)

We were looking for a really nice place in the town centre to conclude a business meeting. I was told that the Banyan Tree would be a good choice as they were open all day. From my experience, the food was very very good. Great flavours, good depth to each dish and my very hot lamb was excellent. It had all the heat but without the dry chilli powder taste. My guests Butter Chicken was also excellent. Waiter was very helpful and clearly enjoys working at the restaurant and provided great personal service. The place has a good choice of beers to boot. Wine list is good and fairly priced but could probably be improved with more premium options. Overall, I think The Banyan Tree is the best indian restaurant in Peterborough. We need more independent restaurants in Peterborough but I think The Banyan Tree needs to create more awareness as not many people still know it exists. Hopefully my review will help towards that goal.

Per Tutti (Manchester)

When we go to the Opera House we now use this little gem for pre-theatre dinner. We have Visited this new Italian eatery a few times now and have basically fallen in love with the pizza. I know its all about the experience and the welcome, but that for me just seems to be there every time I go in, but the pizza - wow! Is all I can say. If you are going to the Opera House, or even staying at the Hilton and fancy a change of restaurant, PerTutti with its new clean decor, open kitchen, fun atmosphere and brilliantly cooked traditional Napoli pizza it is a winner. Enjoy, we do and a bonus is the parking is easier on the roads all around the restaurant and its a 5 minute walk to the theatre.

Lydford Country House Restaurant (Okehampton)

I have just spent a night at Lydford Country House with my partner following a 6 course taster menu. The meal was wonderful, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere relaxing. Our room was very comfortable and cosy. We had a memorable time.

ASK - Staines (Staines)

Tonight was our second visit as a family to ask in Staines and both times our experience was the same. The food was good, the waitress was very friendly, warm and efficient but the portions were far too small. We ordered the Antipasti ' to share' starter and the look on my boys faces was a picture when it was put down in front of us @11.75 it was barely enough for one. I'm afraid mains turned out to be the same which is a shame as pasta is not an expensive ingredient so no excuse. Sorry Ask, deffinitely not value for money so would not be recommending on that basis only.

Mak Syed Restaurant (Wallasey)

I love Mak Syed and are on first name terms with the owners and staff who are all so freindly. The food is outstanding and i have never had any complaints. Both my family and i have spent many evenings just relaxing and enjoying their amazing menu. One of my favourite meals is Chicken Jalfreizi and chicken pathia. I also love the mixed kebab starter.
