Palm Court Brasserie (Covent Garden & Theatreland)
My wife and I had the privilege to dine here prior to going to see a show, the food and the atmosphere were excellent, we had a window seat which was lovely and the staff were brilliant, an absolutely not to be missed experience.

ASK - York (York)
My husband and I stopped on our way from Norfolk to the Lake District in mid June of 2003, just before a quick tour of the Minster. We were treated very well and loved the food and enjoyed the spacious decor of the old assembly hall.

Fifteen London (Camden, Islington & Marylebone)
Ok geezers listen up! Here's a pukka review of 15 ( The Deli Bar ) not the restaurant...a small and aching to be trendy bar filled with a very eclectic mix of punter! First things first..the seats by the door are not very nice as even on the mildish evening I went, when the doors opened a very stiff breeze comes flying down Westland Place. Much nicer to be inside to the left where the seating is much nicer and you feel like you are 'in the bar'...a word on the bar; come on, Jamie mate, 9 bleedin' quid for a glass so-so Chianti and 6 quid for a bottle of Bud?? But the redeemer was the tower of anti-pasti at 10.00 per head HAS to be the best value in town. A tower with smoked meats and cheese and salad and beans and sushi and beetroots and rocket and more cheese and more layers...you'd better be hungry! So my advice is; get there around 7, get a bottle of something nice at about 18.00 and two glasses, order the anti-pasti and watch the beautiful people go by, and all for under 20.00 a head! A nice experience but lose those ridiculous beer prices Jamie, that would be much more pukka!

Carluccio's - Kingston, Charter Quay (Kingston-upon-Thames)
I had a soup at this restaurant which contained raw - yes raw - pancetta. Inevitably I complained, and was treated to the most patronising diatribe explaining (a) what pancetta was and (b) the fact that its flavour is enhanced through light cooking. There is a staggering difference between 'light' sautéing and raw!

Deja-Vu in Kendal (Kendal)
A great little restaurant with a varied menu, friendly staff and the food is fantastic!.We call in whenever we visit the Lake District. I hope this review does not make it too popular otherwise we may never be able to book a seat.

Sukiyaki (St Albans)
This is my favourite restaurant so my opinion is biased but even so. The food is good and the staff polite and efficient this always without exception. When visiting I would recommend the dish that is the venues namesake. “Sukiyaki” for those not familiar with Japanese food is the oriental equivalent of fondue. A large metal pan is placed on a burner in front of you and you cook the food, as you like. The meat is for the highest quality for this dish and well worth the price.
I also like the starter of Yakitori (grilled chicken), which is also goods and well presented. For those among us who think Japanese food is raw fish I would heartily recommend a visit.

Firenze (Market Harborough)
This is one of the most relaxed, atmospheric and elegant modern Italian restaurants in the Midlands, the food is simply stunning with an all Italian wine list to complement it. They also have a deli list if you want to enjoy 'Firenze to go'
The service and staff are both knowledgeable and passionate about their food, wines and restaurant, making Firenze a must. Truly Inspired.
