This is undoubtedly one of the best fine dining experiences you will encounter in Scotland. The high quality of the cooking, and the use of fresh local produce, is a credit to the head chef Graeme Pallister. The service is efficient and friendly, and the general ambiance is warm and hospitable. What the restaurant lacks by way of design and lay out, is more than made up for by the superb food. I go to a restaurant to appreciate good food, not to stare at the wallpaper. If this standard can be maintained, it surely can’t be too long before the Michelin boys start sniffing around. Graeme Pallister, in my opinion, can stand shoulder to shoulder with Martin Wishart, and thoroughly deserves to do so too.

What can I say! The food was simply delicious, well presented, cooked to perfection and served by a friendly, attentive but discreet waitress. It had a great ambience despite it being a small restaurant. The emphasis was on quality and not quantity. The perfect little extras in between courses, such as the fennel sorbet, the little pots of broth, just added to the whole dining experience. The fillet of beef was simply outstanding. This is fine dining at its best. We will certainly be back. 10/10.

What a relaxed but classy venue 63 Tay Street is. Superb food, extensive wine list and the service was second to none, very attentive and friendly. Prices are fair and affordable which will encourage more visits and small touches between courses make the menu value for money. Just what Perth needs, we will be back very soon.

We ate at this restaurant during a four night stay in Perth and booked AA recommended places in town on three consecutive nights. This place stood out from the others for their food and the service, so we went back for a second visit on the last night of our stay. They have a very good wine list and a nice location near the river.

We have eaten at the restaurant over the last five years and have come to expect a great evening whilst visiting Perth. We were pleasantly surprised that out favourite Perth restaurant had got so much better. A new chef/owner has taken over since the start of the year and a completely new style has moved the food on to a new level-it was sublime. It now competes easily with the top food that great Edinburgh restaurants can offer. The service was great and the wine list shows great care in selection of what is on it, I think it had grown considerably since our last visit. We look forward to our next visit.

We ate at this restaurant and were very impressed by the style and quality of the food. The service was impeccable. The chef who owns this obviously knows what he is doing and the wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. It was the best food we tried in Perth during our stay and better than many other top restaurants.

We eat here fairly regularly - we are local - but finding a table can be difficult - the service, venue and food are pretty much faultless and very reasonable for the standards and quality levels. The best restaurant in Perth - no question - and one which would trade very well among the best in London (where my husband works).

We eat at 63 Tay Street, every time we visit Scotland and have yet to find a single thing that would stop us from fully recommending it to anyone visiting Perth. The food, the service and the ambiance all add up to a welcome/experience that is hard to beat.

I hope that I will continue to visit on each of my visits, and I am hoping to hold my Mothers 80th Birthday dinner there later in the year. Please don’t change anything - except the menu! May we wish them continued success and look forward to our next visit to see what delights await our delight!

Banbury is historically known for the "riding a cock horse" nursery rhyme. Me? Well I remember it for being a convenient stop on the way home to London from Stratford upon Avon in my younger days. ...
