I still remember my first time at Annie's; a glorious sunny day, sitting in the garden overlooking the levels and the Tor in the distance. We had an amazing salmon and pasta dish followed by the most exquisite banoffee pie I have ever tasted. Needless to say, I have been back a few times. My family have various dietary requirements between them, and all can eat and drink heartily at Annie’s.

I have been going to Annie's Tea Garden since it started, and can thoroughly recommend the experience. It has great food and service with a smile, and a beautiful location by the river, with a lovely atmosphere. We miss it, us locals when it shuts down for the winter. May I also commend the fact that there are bicycle racks aplenty for those of us coming by bike over the levels. The lunch and tea are equally delightful.

You feel well fed, well served and at peace with the world once you've experienced Annie's Tea Rooms. I thoroughly recommend it. Its well worth a 300 mile round journey - I know, I did the day trip! Actually, I left my purse there, but it was really only an excuse to go back again. This enchanting setting, on the banks of the River Sheppey, looking towards Glastonbury Tor, holds one of the most delightful eating experiences you could ever find on the Levels. Annie runs the tea rooms with a passion, love and sincerity that is rare to find these days - the food is fair trade and almost wholly locally sourced - some of it is even transported by river. If you don't believe me, read Annie's description of how she gets hold of supplies - it all just makes you want to smile. The menu has a small number of skilfully prepared meals and everything is freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Even if, like me, you're a vegan, Annie and John won't be fazed, because there's a vegan choice, too. Not only that, she has also specially imported crockery for vegans, after I commented on the bone china! Where in this world can you get such service as that? They should change the name to Annie's Ethical Tea Rooms.

Well, now this brings the season to a close for the lovely tearooms run by Annie and John and I’ve been one of the lucky ones to have enjoyed several trips there this year. Many thanks to you both for providing us with a delightful spot whereupon we can come after a long walk or cycle ride across the levels and get a super cream tea and a place to unwind all enhanced with the relaxed atmosphere created by both of you. If I could have one wish right now that would be that you were open until at least November for when the 'Starling Season' begun and could offer that welcome cuppa and/or a nice bowl of hot homemade soup coupled with a nice warm crusty roll - oh well, we can but hope. Thanks again for your services and roll on Easter of 2009.

We received one of Annie and John's 'Gift Vouchers' as a present earlier this year and, with a friend staying for a few days, we decided to sally forth and investigate. A very warm welcome and a 'different', most imaginative menu awaited us. These were followed up with deliciously cooked food. The already-present ambience increased as some obvious regulars arrived and a cheerful rapport developed. We had the most enjoyable time and may indeed become regulars - if they'll have us.

They serve excellent food in a friendly, clean and inviting atmosphere. I have become a regular there and thoroughly recommend the place.
