I have eaten at Bar Centro many times and love the authentic Italian food. They make it fresh - even the gnocchi! The wine list is nice, the ambience is good and the maître d’ is most affable.

I've been to Bar Centro twice now and neither times have I been particularly impressed. The members of staff are polite and helpful but I felt the decor and menus are a bit cafe-style, the toilets are miniscule and the food is mediocre. I had the mozzarella, basil and tomato pizza, which was basically a cooked base with raw ingredients placed on top - bland, cold and tasteless. My partner had a chicken pasta dish and couldn't eat it because the chicken was brown and gristly. Admittedly he didn't have to pay for his main course but the manager didn't come over to apologise and we won't be eating at Bar Centro again.

Good quality Italian food, an interesting specials board, and pleasant and helpful staff. A busy and vibrant atmosphere, so reserve a table. I visit regularly with colleagues from the office and we have found that upstairs is great for larger parties, birthdays and leaving do's. If you fancy a particular dish that isn't on the menu, the staff are only too happy to make it for you. It is so much better than the run of the mill chain type pizza pasta restaurants, and the cost is very reasonable. They also offer takeaways, which are very handy when working late at the office. An excellent place!

I will get straight to the point- the worst pizza I have ever had. And that is not an exaggeration. The whole experience was awful and I can only assume that the owner or manager was away and the staff couldn't care less. Service was awful. Food and starter cooked on outside, and cold in middle. The pizza was burnt. How can anyone mess up cooking a pizza? It was so hard it could be picked up from the side and remained perfectly rigid. I couldn’t be bothered to complain because we had waited long enough and the waitresses were hardly receptive to communication. I had eaten two thirds of it and when the waitress had asked if my pizza was OK, I replied in the negative and had said that it was disgusting. She had just said oh and walked off. Four of our group of six had bad meals. Watch out for the bill, in bold it said service not included, but on the bill a ten percent service was added. We had not paid this and they had the audacity to ask why we had not. I would never set foot in there again. I think their mantra is to get as much money out of you in one visit and that would do. They had no idea about customer service. Note to the owner-get a manager who knows what they are doing.

Great fresh food, cooked well, attached with a lively atmosphere, great for lunchtime meetings even better in the evening, make sure that you book as it gets busy.

Simply the best pizza in town, and I have tried them all.

Now even better after the revamp. Not fantastic value for money anymore but still above-average Italian food in fun and informal surroundings smack in the middle of Guildford (excellent for shoppers as it is opposite the main car park too). Whatever you do, do NOT miss out on Nutella Pizza.

A fantastic, lively bistro where you can take your children and your granny and enjoy a great meal with outstanding service for the same price as any lesser-quality chain restaurant.

Conveniently located in the town centre just off the high street with friendly staff and good food. They serve some great pizzas and lovely pastas and the price is always very reasonable. It is nice to be able to see the kitchens from your table and to see the food being cooked fresh, which is then promptly delivered to your table.
