We went to Belgo Centraal on a visit to London with our ten year old. It is a really interesting restaurant and we all enjoyed our meal tremendously. He had the giant prawns in chilli and garlic and I had the mussels in a green Thai curry broth. Both were delicious, the curry broth didn't overpower the mussels and the dishes were very generous for starters. Children eat for free if the adults order from the a la carte; my son ordered the rotisserie chicken and gave it a big ‘thumbs up’. It’s great to have a kids menu with real food on it. My main was duck in chilli and ginger, which was very tasty but a bit sweet. He had the rib eye steak, which he pronounced one of the best he'd ever eaten, praise indeed. Puddings rely heavily on chocolate and ice cream, and were good, if not particularly memorable. The total bill was £63 and we were happy to pay the suggested gratuity as the service had been excellent. All in all, a first class experience and we'll be back another day.

Brilliant - book in advance if you don't like to wait. The food was excellent, beers were awesome and service was second to none. Beware of the 32 shots.

It is just a standard restaurant, and in fact I found their chicken very dry. Please make sure to go there on a weekday as they are less busy and the cooking is better. If you are going in a group, make sure to book in advance so you do not have to wait.

The restaurant is really good, but getting a table is a nightmare! Queuing, queuing, and queuing.

At Belgo Centrall, I have tasted the most amazing duck ever, and I keep going back.

Terrific atmosphere, good food generously proportioned and well-priced. I had the classic moules and chocolate tart, and my friends had a variety of other dishes, all of which they enjoyed. Excellent, relaxed venue, massive beer list, you won't be disappointed. Oh, and the loos are well worth a visit too - you'll see why!

Since being taken to this restaurant in the late 90s I have recommended it to all my friends who visit the capital. This is my favourite restaurant of all time. The Belgian beer is a must, the food is of good quality and very well presented. The staff work hard to create an exquisite dining experience. Don’t leave London without a visit!

I have lived in London all my life and this is my favourite restaurant. Food is great, beer is great, service is great no down points I can think off - unless you don't book, then you could very well be disappointed. Perfect place to go on a works meal or to take out your parents out. Miss this restaurant at your peril!

Having lunch on a Thursday afternoon I was surprised by the fast service and impressed with the great food! I would recommend everyone to try out this original venue. As a Canadian it truly felt like being at home - if my house was a large underground restaurant.
