We have enjoyed some lovely food there in the past but not on a recent visit. We had to send our fish back because it was uncooked- which they agreed was the case. If they rectified the situation, we would have left feeling that we would go back to eat there again. The customer service really let us down.

My two friends and I chose the Bell for a fun night out recently and were expecting good food. The menu sounds delicious, but I feel they are over priced and relying on some older, better reputation.
We had a disappointing experience with us having to send back the steak, dauphinoise potatoes which were promptly brought back and we were charged. I felt neither the waitress nor the chef cared to meet our needs. We did not wait to order desserts and will not be recommending this place.

The Bell is, as I like to say, 'Reassuringly Expensive' (for a pub). If you want burger and chips, don't go. If you want a varied menu, well cooked, pleasant staff, plenty to eat and a pub which is everyone’s picture of a Cotswold pub - then this is the place for you. In my view, one of the best in the area.
