I arranged an eightieth birthday celebration in the Bistro on the Quay for twenty-four, mostly very elderly people. The food was excellent, the service not rushed and we were able to enjoy the occasion at leisure. It was a very pleasurable experience, which we would recommend to even the most discerning person. Everyone congratulated us on our choice of venue, and I can't praise them enough.

I work in the heart of Soho and would be delighted if there was an equivalent restaurant up here. Excellent food, friendly service and the prices are unbelievable when compared to the restaurants in this locale. I will be back whenever down and will always bring clients who will love it too.

I celebrated my 50th birthday with lunch at the Bistro. The food and service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble which was very impresive as the restaurant was closing for the Christmas break after we left.

My husband and I attended The Bistro with a group for our Christmas meal on 14th December and we were very disappointed with the standard of the food.

I know this is a highly rated restaurant - but what went wrong that night I do not know. We had heard a lot about the restaurant and were so looking forward to it and at £24 plus £15 for wine we were very disappointed and it has put us off going back.

Went to the bistro and found that although it was a full house, the service was excellent, the food was excellent and for the quality of this experience £15 per head! Inc two courses and wine!!! Highly recommend, but book early!

My husband and I regularly visit the Bistro On The Quay after it was recommended to us by some family friends. We have been several times since then over the last year and each time the food has been prompt, well cooked and the staff very welcoming and helpful. There is a pleasant atmosphere and a beautiful view across the docks. However make sure you book well in advance because tables are in such high demand especially at peak times on Friday and Saturday nights. If you enjoy excellent food and service I would most definitely recommend the Bistro On The Quay.

I am a regular visitor to the ‘Bistro on the Quay’ and have never found the experience to be anything less than highly enjoyable. The food is excellent and very good value whilst the staff are very friendly; the service is always fast.

The restaurant is always very popular but this only serves to reinforce its strong reputation and provide a good atmosphere in which to enjoy an evening.

I look forward to my next visit to the restaurant, Keep up the good work!

On my visit to The Bistro on the Quay I found it pleasant, friendly and good value for money. The service was relaxed, with all staff friendly, attentive and helpful. You can instantly tell the popularity of this restaurant as it is booked up in 2 weeks in advance most evenings, and always busy. The previous review says that the bistro attracts 'certain people', I think it is a good that a restaurant can accommodate people from every class, and that everyone can feel welcome. With the bistro situated in a picturesque setting, with appealing and appetising food, offering good value for money, all I can say ‘Bravo you’re on the right track’. All I can say if you don’t like it then go somewhere else, so we can have your table!

My wife and I visited the restaurant on a busy Saturday night, and although the food was basically good (and good value), there were a few things that put us off. It seems to attract groups of people celebrating various events - such as hen nights, leaving do's etc, and consequently on the night of our visit was very noisy, with crude comments being made amongst at least two of the parties. On arrival, our table wasn't ready, and the staff, although very pleasant, didn't seem particularly well trained - e.g. the menu wasn't brought to us for at least 10 minutes. Maybe on a different night, a different crowd could have made for a better evening. No problems with the food, but please sharpen up your service quality!
