Enjoyed our stay at The Boars Head at a time when even the Local Aristocrats were celebrating 900 yrs in the same Castle. So a pretty special event eh?. The staff are really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I just would keep coming back here. Thanks Miss Ashton-Hamilton

Even with our three month old, our evening at the Boar’s Head was good, thanks to the skilful staff who kept coming round our table entertaining us. My wife and I really enjoyed the starters’ board, especially the soups – yummy. We will always look back on our stay with warmth and glee, after all it’s nearly Christmas and that’s how it felt. The kids loved their food, and daddy even paid without a gasp. Best wishes to all the staff there.

Well you know its real kinda old England round Yorkshire, and this hall is just worth seeing. I am a native New Yorker so it's really refreshing for us to feel a place like this with all its history. Sure there were some real nice folk in when we visited in November, one guy gave me his e-mail id; thats real homely. Food leaves me to say is just fantastic, I have been educated to Beef Wellington. My lady just wants to come back again, and who knows? The grandkids may be along with us. Good day sir and mam.....see ya soon I hope.

Where else can a lady dine in the knowledge that she is in total splendour and indeed grandeur. I didn’t need the gold card either; it was really nice afterwards to stroll in the grounds of a wonderful castle, before turning in for a nights sleep only a few yards away. Yes whoever put this business together certainly knew about people and what they want and like. See you at Christmas.

Some months ago we drove over two hundred miles to eat at the Boar’s Head, passing what are the most famous eating establishments in the UK and indeed Europe. Yes, it was no contest when arriving to see a menu and specials board, only to be found here in dear Yorkshire. My friends are also constant visitors, indeed calling in at least once a week. Maybe I should consider a house move to save on the driving. Yes, I think I might. Thank you to the whole staff team.

Thanks so much to all working at The Boar’s Head, from our last visit there. The service has always been good and I think the country atmosphere is to be cherished as a gentleman from the city. So it only leaves me to say thanks for the experience and I shall see you real soon when en route to the races. Put the Christal on ice please.

My husband and I often visit the Boars Head at lunchtime, and some Saturday evenings. There is always a wonderful atmosphere in all the rooms, which is very welcoming in winter. We have in the past taken guests there who found the whole experience one they would repeat. I recommend the lambs kidneys from the specials board. Well done chef.

I eat in restaurants across the globe and can honestly say Boar’s Head is in the top five. The specials board is always refreshing with new innovative ideas, and the whole experience has me and many people come back again.

I have been a member of Ripon Racecourse for a number of years now, and en route to the Saturday meeting we always stop for lunch at the bistro. The food has always been faultless, the quality of ingredients are of an optimum standard. Indeed, with the regular change of menu one can never become bored of this wonderful eatery. Let's not forget the courteous and attentive service, which is always constant together with a real country ambiance. Who could ask for more?

Having lived nearby the Boar's Head I have always been a fan of the cuisine, however last time I went I thought the starter didn’t quite offer the same overall quality the main did. Have you had any other reviews of this nature I would be most interested. PS. I felt a cold chill as I entered the premises.
