It was a fantastic night out and absolutely gorgeous food. The menu is simply mouth watering and offers something for everyone. I recommend anyone to pay Julian and Liz a visit. You would most definitely enjoy everything from the surroundings, the warm welcome, attentive staff and of course the delicious menu. It’s great to be able to visit a restaurant knowing you would never be disappointed and you leave only wanting to go back for more. I must congratulate Julian for being a ten out of ten chef and he is truly talented and it shows in his creative dishes. The restaurant is a credit to you both. I’m looking forward to my next visit in the New Year. Thanks for a truly fantastic meal yet again.

That was a wonderful dinner, many thanks. We haven't had better food anywhere in the Lake District and yes, we have been to Miller Howe and Sharrow Bay.

An occasion to look forward to in view of Chef Julian's reputation gained in Staffordshire over several years. It’s a welcoming restaurant with a warm and intimate atmosphere that adds to the overall impression. In accord with Julian's style the menu offers something for everyone with some inspirational choices of local speciality foods. White crab with smoked salmon followed by local lamb with vegetables was my particular choice for the evening. Each dish presented with style and full of individual flavours. There is a good choice of desserts including a selection of local cheese and coffee can be taken at the table or in the lounge/bar area. The wine and spirit list is extensive with sensibly priced old and new world wines.

Bridge Street offers an individual service, where care and attention to detail are at the top of the list for the discerning diner. It’s relatively a small restaurant, which ensures that it is no mass catering establishment but a place to treasure for any special occasion or for those who really enjoy British and European cuisine at its best. It is a hidden gem. If you live locally then look out for the one off gourmet evenings - you would not be disappointed.
