Just come back from Butcher and Grill after a Sunday lunch. All in all it was good, though it could be far better. The staff were okay though not very attentive. The roast beef was average and not worth the money. The slices were too thick and not of a great quality. Chips were very good as was the Australian Shiraz wine at £16.50 a bottle much better than the French Grenache Syrah at £13.50 a bottle. I had a nice time though feel it is a little expensive for what you get.

I disagree, the service I had received on a recent visit was great and the staff were more than helpful. I'd definitely recommend the restaurant and look forward to going back again soon.

Very disappointing, the service was the worst I have ever come across, although my steak was done just as I asked for it, the rest of the meal arrived 6 mins after the steak, when I asked for some condiments I had another long wait. For the price (it’s not cheap), this has to be the worst place to eat in the area.

We ate at the Butcher and Grill on Saturday night. The food was delicious, the service friendly and helpful (especially for a recently converted vegetarian like myself) and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable.

I would recommend the rib of beef for two - cooked just as we wanted it and plenty for two people - we just about managed to stuff it down between us!

My only complaint is that the steak knives we too big to handle without looking like something out of the Flintstones - however the meat was so tender - we did not need them anyway - come to think of it we hardly needed teeth!

Just go - you can't beat well cooked honest meat!
