My, now fiancé and I ate at The Cellar this Valentine's Day. The food was impeccable, every mouthful was a delicacy, and I can’t put into words how good it was. The members of staff are fantastic, very attentive, friendly and warm in manner. Our evening was lovely, my boyfriend proposed and the staff, who were in on the act, were delightful. I have never felt so welcome and at ease than in The Cellar. From the chef, Peter, personally bringing my grain mustard sauce to the table, to the staff being excited to see my ring, I couldn't have asked for a better surprise. Thank you to all of you who made the culmination of my surprise weekend be perfect, that will be treasured for ever. We will be back every anniversary and hopefully lots in between.

My fiancé and I ate at The Cellar restaurant for Valentine’s Day this year. The whole experience was nothing but excellent. One of the best meals we have ever eaten. The service was attentive, but not intrusive, being swift and accurate throughout. It was never rushed, impressive selection of wines, and range of cuisine to the standard, which reflects The Cellar winning the Coventry and Warwickshire food awards ‘Best International Restaurant 2008’. It was worth every penny of a culinary experience we can’t wait to have again. I simply cannot recommend the restaurant enough for anyone who appreciates good dining.

I feel this is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Scotland. The impeccable service, ambience and quality of the reasonably priced food leaves you satisfied.

Just fantastic. Hard to find the place but very well worth it. The restaurant is small and intimate but the food is the star. I cannot remember ever having eaten such brilliant dishes - even the herring appetiser was stunning.

The menu is not extensive but just go try the place - and try the chocolate terrine if you can! Very highly recommended

The restaurant has everything, wonderful atmosphere, fantastic service, a selection of wines unsurpassed, but most of all, and the most exquisite food of any restaurant I have ever visited. In all my sixty four years the cellar has to be rated the best.

This must be in the running for being the best fish restaurant in Britain. The venue takes some effort to get to, but the reward is something very special. Cosy romantic dining room, outstanding food and warm friendly service. If you are in Fife and don't visit the Cellar, you are missing one of the true highlights of the area.

The menu is not as expensive as many restaurants of this quality (your entire meal will be less than a main course at Rick Steins in Padstow) and the food is better here.

We visited the restaurant on 13th February 2005. From the moment we were greeted to the moment we left we enjoyed every minute. The food was fantastic (especially the halibut and basil mash), but then I had expected that from what I’d read. This is a cosy, romantic place and definitely worth a visit. A bit pricey compared to most however well worth every penny! We will definitely return.

The place for foodies in Fife! The lobster quiche is beyond heavenly. The restaurant is very cosy so it's not a place for large parties, but, for a romantic dinner for two, it's unbeatable.
