I recently at the restaurant and loved every bit of my meal. I am a fussy eater and my food was prepared almost to order. It was an utterly fabulous experience and I will definitely go back.

Small but friendly, it is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The dim sum is great and the menu is authentic. Don't let the exterior stop you, do give it a try.

That was a true Chinese experience. I would probably say the Chef Hong Kong serve the most authentic Chinese food in town. Staffs were friendly, and the yellow decoration gives you a fresh clean feeling to relax and enjoy your dinner. They also recently started doing dim sum in the evening as well as for lunch time. I definitely recommend this family run restaurant to anyone who is into Chinese food.

This restaurant is a godsend to anyone who has lived in Hong Kong and misses the food! The dim sum is pretty authentic, and has all the traditional favourites with a few innovative dishes. This is one of the few proper "Chinese" restaurants in Dorset.
Dim sum is only served at lunch time, and that is the time to go. The evening menu is much more typical of your English style Chinese restaurant, and is disappointing. This is a great place to take kids, the staff are welcoming, and you can order a number of dishes and everyone gets to taste a little of everything.

The bright yellow facade and seemingly simple interior to this restaurant (looking in from the outside) do not do justice to this brilliant restaurant.
The fact that a high percentage of the customers are Chinese is recommendation enough that this is a truly authentic Chinese restaurant.
Their real speciality is "Dim Sum" which technically means "dumplings", although this in no way describes their range of dishes. You could compare the Spanish tapas as something similar. In other words, Dim Sum is a selection of small dishes - usually with 3 or 4 pieces on each dish - covering a multitude of different flavours. Some are strange (chicken's feet, etc.) but don't let these put you off!
This is a family run restaurant and the staff are superb. Truly helpful. If you are in a quandary, ask their advice. But be warned - they think the British like fatty, fried food in general, so our first attempt at suggestion was not the best.
Our favourite dish is "Monks vegetable noodles" (or something like that!) and we have 3 or 4 Dim Sum dishes as well. A lunchtime meal for 2 will rarely go over £16 if you have Chinese tea. More for other drinks, of course.
So overall opinion? - Brilliant!
