What a place to eat – superb service, brilliant food and wonderful location. We will visit again and recommend this haven to all.

During summer I regularly visit The Coastguard with guests, as I have a beach hut right next door. The fish and chips are excellent and so filling that I have never gone on to desserts. When it’s busy the service can be a bit slow, but overall the service is good and food excellent.

Great food, although service consistently unenthusiastic. That said would recommend the skate wings, the regular Hoegarden battered cod, or at lunch times the salt beef bagels. Exceptional beer & wine selection, many of which are sourced locally. Also generous malt whiskey selection - ask Nigel for the tour.
