I was visiting Surrey with my husband and staying at the Wotton House Hotel. We came to Guildford to look round and came across Cote. What a find - beautiful surroundings, very relaxed and friendly staff and service is very good. We will call again when on our next visit from Shropshire. PS - I loved the chairs on the decking.

I have been there a couple of times now and both times it has been great. Great food and friendly staff - I will be going back soon.

Wonderful! Took my parents out for lunch last week and went on the recommendation of a friend. And boy, we weren't disappointed. It was amazing value and the food delicious. So much so, my parents went back on their own 2 days later and I'm going there again tomorrow night. Wonderful - try the chocolate pudding - small but perfectly formed.

Just to see if it wasn't beginners luck we went back on a Friday evening - a real test of efficiency when Guildford is so busy. We enjoyed our return visit with guests - all of us were really impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. Well done - highly recommended!

Fantastic, knocks spots off some of the already established bistros! Super food, good quality and choices, lovely staff and nice atmosphere, going back for more soon!

We went for lunch to Cote over the weekend and sat outside on a rather pretty terrace. This was my first visit here, it has just opened, and I must say I was very impressed. The food of free range chicken with frites and fish parmentier were both fantastic, service was friendly too. They do free bottled filtered water and we didn't have to ask for it. The best thing is it didn't cost the earth. I definitely think Cote is worth a visit, there are very few decent restaurants in Guildford that don't cost the earth. Cote is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.

We stumbled upon this new addition to Guildford and a pleasure it was too. In spite of it being open for just a few days, it was busy with customers of all ages. The staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming; the food was of good quality and well cooked and presented; the menu offered a good range and there were several specials. I would thoroughly recommend this and have planned a return visit already.
