I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for a wonderful meal, it was my sister’s birthday and we went to London for the weekend, and the Covent Garden Grill was the best meal we had, it was cook to perfection, and nothing was too much for the staff, when my friend and I return to London again we shall be eating at Covent Garden Grill. Once again thank you to everyone.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Covent Garden Grill. The hospitality and consideration of the staff was exemplary and we will have no hesitation in returning at some time in the future.

I went to this great chic restaurant last week as part of a combination deal with a day out at the London Eye. The set menu choice was great value and the desserts were awesome. I would love to go there again when I am in town again.

I was in London to see Hairspray on Monday and prefer to have a meal at lunch time rather than pre theatre. Having visited the Covent Garden Grill last year I decided to return and was not disappointed. There were only a few people dining but the atmosphere was good and I was given a private booth and what felt like special attention from the barman and waitress. From the special menu I had the tomato and basil soup, which was served promptly, piping hot with lots of Italian bread and butter with the option of more bread if I wanted. I followed this with grilled salmon, which was large and succulent with a nice salad and baby new potatoes. With a lager and a glass of wine the bill was less than £20, which is excellent for such a good meal in London. I would highly recommend the Covent Garden Grill and will be back next time I visit London.

I had a great night there on Friday. The menu was fantastic, the service was brilliant, the food was top notch and the bill was pretty reasonable too. I will definitely be recommending to anyone who will listen. One seriously impressed customer!

We were in London one Friday night going on to Paris and chose this restaurant from the internet so we were very apprehensive but all our fears were gone as soon as we walked through the door. Our table was downstairs, which was perfect for six adults and as we were celebrating my parents golden wedding, they decorated the table with gold balloons. Five of us had a starter and we all had a main course, the choice was great. I had the tuna as main course, which was fabulous and the waiter was a dream. All the members of staff were very accomodating and so helpful. We had five lagers and two bottles of wine and thought the price was very reasonable for London. I would recomend this place - a definite 9.5/10.

My girlfriend and I ate at Covent Garden Grill and selected to eat from the table d'hote menu. We were not disappointed. When booking, I stated that it was my girlfriend's birthday, and for no extra cost, they decorated the table with balloons ready for our arrival. The service was prompt, professional and friendly. Although half way through the meal our friendly, professional waiter was replaced with an unprofessional waitress and in all fairness, that was my only gripe throughout the whole dining experience. So then to the food - the starters of chicken liver pâté and chicken Caesar salad were executed perfectly and were full of flavour. Also, they were served on time. For the main course, I had the fillet steak medium rare. This was cooked to perfection, and the red wine and shallot sauce was the perfect companion. My girlfriend had a succulent piece of pork loin with tasty, creamy garlic mash and red cabbage that was soft and sweet. For dessert, I had the chocolate orange mousse, which was rich and dark with a zesty tang of orange while remaining unbelievably light. My girlfriend had the homemade chocolate ice cream, which was smooth and comforting, but also just plain and basic chocolate ice cream. Overall, both the three course meals along with a bottle of Pinot Grigio, a cocktail and a bottle of Henikken came to £70. The food served at the Covent Garden Grill had simple ingredients cooked to perfection. Value for money was excellent and the service was very friendly and professional - apart from the ‘what time am I going home’ waitress. 9/10 - highly recommended.

I took my boyfriend to Covent Garden Grill for a birthday meal on a London weekend away and we were not disappointed. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. There are private booths, which we sat in or large and small table settings catering for everyone. The members of staff were very polite and couldn't have been more helpful. We booked for 8pm and despite arriving early they sat us down and took our order straight away. It didn't take very long for the starters to arrive, which were lovely and soon polished off. The staff apologised for the wait for the main course but in fact it was the shortest time I have ever waited for a meal to arrive - about ten to fifteen minutes. My boyfriend had the best fillet steak he has ever tasted and I had the Covent Garden Grill burger, which was exceptional. We also had vanilla pannacotta with blueberries for puddings, which were to die for. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and we were not rushed to finish and move on like in other places I have been. There are lots on the menu to choose from and the prices are very affordable, especially for London. I would highly recommend The Covent Garden Grill and will dine there again should I go back to London.

Just wanted to say that my sister and I had a lovely meal on Sunday night, it was excellent. As I told one of the waiters, it was the best service we had received all weekend whilst staying in London, it made a refreshing change. We will definitely recommend.

Covent Garden Grill - a name clearly targeted at tourists. My guest and I visited on a Wednesday night, and were rather lonely in the basement. Nonetheless, the food was surprisingly enjoyable and the ambience, strangely satisfactory. The menu is an odd mix of traditional British, Middle Eastern and Oriental. Sticking to the traditional British side, my guest and I had the chicken liver pâté, which was outstanding. It was light and discrete in texture but definitely full in flavour. I had the calf's liver for mains, and whilst there was a noticeable absence of gravy or jus, the liver was cooked well and obviously freshly sourced. For dessert, I thoroughly enjoyed the vanilla panna cotta.
Covent Garden Grill has got portion control absolutely right. The servings were exact, and as a result we enjoyed a meal that left us refreshingly comfortable at the end.
