We spent my 40th birthday evening there in December, eating in the restaurant and staying in one of their recently opened rooms. The entire experience was sumptuous, the rooms truly beautiful and finished to an exceptional standard. The food, my wife had the Christmas dinner and I had the a la carte, was absolutely delicious, each and everything we had was beautifully cooked and superb. It’s hard to come up with the rhetoric that does this place justice. It was a special birthday for me and I couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience - thank you.

It was fantastic, well-run and the perfect place for brilliant food and proper beer. Been there several times and never been disappointed-owners of other pubs, take note.

It was excellent-all round. Good food, great location, nice staff and good atmosphere. There was plenty of parking when we had arrived, and hardly any when we left! We will be going back again very soon.
