The decor, ambience, atmosphere and menu lean slightly more to general Medeterranian than pure Greek, which I hadn’t quite expected but that was fine. I found it reassuringly and surprisingly unpretentious, decent no nonsense service, good tasty food, generous portions and good value.

Dimitris is OK, nothing special and expensive for what you get. Food not bad, wine list is limited. Some staff are very friendly, ours had a face like a robber's dog and couldn't/didn't smile or speak much for that matter. The first thing she said was the time we'd have to be out by. Good Welcome! No comparison to El Rincon in terms of quality of food, value for money, wine list, atmosphere. For a memorable meal, take a short walk up the road to El Rincon.

I have to disagree with the comment about Dimitris being good value for money. Don't get me wrong I really like the place, I think the staff are friendly, the service is good and the food tasty, but I personally don't think it's great value for money.

Dimitris has been around for a while now and lives on getting the regulars back, I can only presume through loyalty as the prices are somewhat high.

Reputation is a good thing and it stops me getting a table any time I wanna go for a bite to eat - still no idea what the huge draw to the place is all about though!

Dimitri's is a great venue for tapas, or for just chilling out with a bottle of wine - especially sitting outside in the arcade on warm summer evenings. The atmosphere is lively without being in your face, and the staff are attentive.

There's plenty of variety on the menu and the prices are reasonable. When the food comes the portion sizes are generous (far more so than round the corner at the much more expensive El Rincon).

This is my favourite restaurant, but best of all you can bring the wonderful food to your own home, with their great takeaway. Ideal when there is no babysitter.
