We had a girly dinner for 12 people; the members of staff were really helpful and even managed to arrange taxis for all of us at the end of the evening. It’s no mean feat when good wood is on. It really is a lovely venue and the garden is beautiful. Thank you!

We went to The Dining Room at Purchases last week and had the most wonderful dinner we’ve had in ages. The service was top rate and the food could not be faulted. We had the chef's seafood platter off the new bar menu to share as starters, it was piled with fresh lobster, oysters, dressed crab, prawns and scallops, and was amazing. We followed this by the fish of the day and a fillet steak and they both were first class. We would recommend to everyone. Five star!

My partner and I had the pleasure of eating at the Dining room earlier this year and couldn't fault it. We would not hesitate to recommend the restaurant to anybody looking for excellent food and wine in an intimate atmosphere. The food, wine and service all combine to make an excellent evening out worth every penny spent. We would definitely be visiting again before the year is out.

Unfortunately, the menu does not do the extensive wine list justice-the small menu would be more at home in a beefeater. The pan fried scallops with bacon were served with a rasher of bacon thrown on top, rather than chopped in the rocket salad. Lamb fricassee was in fact mutton stew, which was left as it took too long to chew. And to top it off the waitress did not know the difference between brie and stilton. We have just moved to the area and went for a celebration meal. We would not be going back or recommending to others.
