My wife and I were fortunate enough to attend a wedding reception at the Durham Ox. The staff were warm and attentive and the three courses were absolutely first class. We will definitely be booking a table in the very near future.

An absolutely fantastic dining experience! My wife and I were welcomed as we arrived and were shown to the bar to have a drink while our table was prepared. It was very busy for a Thursday night and we sat in the bar for about five minutes until some very pleasant staff came and showed us to the table in a lovely clean spacious restaurant. The food was really well presented and tasted fantastic and was real value for money. We were attended to by the friendly staff throughout the evening and we were never rushed. Just a side note, also at the restaurant was a national TV celebrity dining with some friends.

Had Mothers Day Sunday lunch there, was the best Sunday lunch I've ever had. It was out of this world. Only downside was we were unable to take pushchairs into the restaurant, which for a pub that has great outside fun for children is a little disappointing, our baby was due for a sleep, and was unable to because we needed his pushchair. Waitress was a little sharp about it, saying we were told when we booked but we were definitely not told.

My husband and I ate there when we were on holiday, and it was fantastic. The waiter was very friendly, and the food was excellent. We loved the modern décor and can't wait to return the next time we visit the UK.

This place is in a great location with beautiful décor and a beautiful outside area in summer. The members of staff are friendly and the food was okay – we were a group of twenty having a set lunch. I think they could do better with the organisation and service.

My team mates and I went to the Durham Ox recently and had a fantastic lunch. The service was amusing if not perfect. The food was lovely and at a good price. It's a great way to spend an hour or so.

I have not been there since it was changed and was very impressed with what the new owners have - a three-course meal was excellent and highly recommended.

I would love to try this place again, but the website is still not working to give menu details.
