We have lived in the Clacton area for 5 years and at last we have found a restaurant that ticks all the boxes as far as we are concerned. The menu is varied and very well conceived. Our meal was beautifully presented and the taste matched the presentation. Also considering we went on a Saturday and the restaurant was full, the service was still first class. Congratulations Fat Goose, we will be coming again.

Having just experienced a fantastic meal at The Fat Goose I felt that I needed to inform anybody who reads this to definitely give it a go. We eat out often and try many new eateries in the area - most of which are disappointingly average or a complete let down in some way. The pictures on the website don't do the modern, comfortable interior justice and the food was amazing. The chef and team clearly know and understand good food – ninety-nine percent of which is entirely seasonal and homemade - and everything served was excellent. Three of us went for Sunday dinner - one of us was a vegetarian - and were surprised at the quality and choice. The staff and management are inviting and friendly and all involved clearly take pride in what they do. Good value and we will return – I’d rate them ten out of ten.

I have eaten at The Fat Goose on more than one occasion. The staff have always been extremely friendly and the service, impeccable. The food is delicious; undoubtedly the best in the area. The setting and atmosphere also contribute to a really special evening.
