I've been quite disappointed in the Firth Floor Brasserie on my last two visits. The menu has become very stale with the same things appearing week after week and month after month. The service isn't what it once was - a bit slow and lacklustre. This was one of my favourite lunch venues but it won't be top of my list unless things start improving.

Have eaten here several times and never been let down. excellent service whether I’m with my 11year old nephew or on a date. The food is perhaps some of the best in Edinburgh which is certainly saying something! The views on a good day are wonderful and are worth stopping by to see and have a drink even if you are not wanting a bite to eat. Consider this a recommendation!

Had lunch on Boxing Day and was so very disappointed with the food and have to say service. I was expecting a much higher standard. We were told we would have a 20 min wait and that turned into 40 min. The food was poor quality and cold! I will be back to see if things have improved.

Had lunch meeting at the Forth Floor last week - good experience - food, service, atmosphere and view!!

Just one thing could be improved: The noise level was such that it was difficult to keep a conversation going without asking the speaker to repeat a sentence. My architect colleague (who was part of our group) explained why the acoustics on the Forth was 'not the best'. I am sure it can be improved - without destroying the other elements that give people a good experience.

Best regards

Anne

I haven't eaten in the Restaurant but regularly visit the Brasserie. I think it is a great place to eat - there is a bustling atmosphere and it is a great place to people spot.

The menu changes regularly and has the emphasis on local and seasonal produce. Service is quick and efficient if not overly friendly.

The only downside is that it gets extremely busy at lunch time and you have to wait sometimes because you can't book in advance.

Give the champagne cocktails a try - they are fantastic, especially nice on a summer’s day sitting out on the balcony.

Outstanding!!! Menu, wine list, quality & service all superb. Booked for my partner's birthday. All prior requests, pink champagne, decorated birthday sweet plate all taken care of without any problems.

Great to see all the personal touches in catering brought back from the past that you just don't get anymore, table crumbs swept, napkin folded over chair arms when you leave seat etc.

Great atmosphere, views, quality, service, staff and superb value for money!!! Highly recommended to everyone.
