We phoned the restaurant 40 minutes before arrival and were told that it was not very busy and there were plenty of tables available. Forty minutes later we arrived and sure enough they were not very busy. We waited about 10 minutes for the waiter to arrive and ordered our meal and drinks. Ten minutes later the drinks arrived and the waiter dropped a pint of Coke on the table from a height of about 2 feet, my wife and 9 year old daughter were soaked and myself and 14 year old son also had our share, we were lucky the glass didn’t break. After the mess was cleared up and drinks replaced I noticed that our bottle of wine had about two glasses missing, after replacing this the meal arrived, which was not bad and my kids cleared their plates. Overall we were not unhappy with the meal but the service left a lot to be desired. Needless to say we did not leave a tip.

We returned from not eating at this establishment. My partner telephoned earlier to book a table for two and was told there was no need to book as they weren't busy. Upon arrival, at 7.30, we were told that our table would be ready 'as soon as it was set'. We were told we could get a drink at the bar to wait. The bar was in a mess with people waiting twenty minutes for a drink as a teenage boy struggled to work out which spirits went in a cocktail. After 25 minutes, half way through which I reminded the lady at front of house that we were waiting, she came up to us and told us that 'all the tables keep going' and that she'd have one for us soon. Another 10 minutes later she told us she'd found us an alternative table, which was not set, so we could actually sit down, that she'd get cutlery over to us as soon as possible. We sat there and waited, while another couple, who had been seated after us had a waitress come and ask for their order, go away while they thought some more, and came back to take it finally, and still no cutlery or waitress for us. Finally we decided to give them five more minutes. This expired and we walked out, which unsurprisingly enough they didn't notice. Whilst I can't comment on the food, I'd say on service alone I'd never return to Frankie & Benny's in Leamington.

Hello, I went to Frankie and Benny’s for my 18th birthday party on the 25th of May and it was amazing, the service was amazing and they brought me a birthday cake out and the wine was awesome. After the meal I shook all the waiters\waitresses hands and the chef’s, the food was great and overall I had a great time there and advise people to visit.

We nearly didn't choose this restaurant because of the very poor review on this site. However, we were persuaded by our 11 year old who had had a great time there a few weeks before and raved about the East Coast Sundae. We had a very good evening. Nick our waiter was friendly and attentive, service was fast and the food was good. Cost was £95 (excl tip) for 7 of us. OK, this is a large branded restaurant, so not the place for an intimate meal for two, but as a venue for a celebratory meal out with teenagers/children it is difficult to beat.

My husband, my grandson and myself have just been to the Leamington Spa Frankie & Benny's restaurant as it is half term week.

We had to wait a long time before our order was taken and then half an hour wait for our meal. Incidentally, the meal was waiting on top of the counter to be collected by a waitress for at least 10 minutes, along with others. The waitress never collected it.

The tables had not been cleared, the standard of service was appalling and the Manager did not seem to know anything about customer service.

Eventually we walked out in disgust. My husband spoke to the chef to ask if our meals were those we could see on the counter and he said they were and he also looked embarrassed. The Manager only looked just out of school and had obviously not had any training because she offered an ineffectual apology as we were walking out. I had previously asked one of the waitresses when our meal would be served and she said she would find out but never moved from the cash desk.

As you can imagine we were furious and this is not the only time we have experienced slow and inefficient service in this restaurant. Needless to say, we definitely won't be visiting again and we wouldn't recommend anyone else to either.
