Wow! That is all I can say. I have been to The Gate on several different occasions and every time my experience has been better then the last. It offers great service, excellent food and a good atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant to anybody as it is a delightful experience.

The Gate is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, they offer great service and splendid food and I am always delighted when I visit there.

Soon after we arrived at The Gate my family and I were guided to a delightful table near a fire (as it was winter and we had just been for a walk at a nearby park the warmth was welcoming)

As soon as I received the menu I started feeling very hungry there was not one item on the menu that I wouldn’t have eaten. I ended up choosing a lovely dish of fish and chips. I must commend the chefs as I was so hungry and yet this portion was so big that even I could not finish it. All the food was a stomach warming delight.

If you go anywhere this summer visit The Gate there is a nature trail less than five minutes away for those who want to build an appetite. The staff are warm and friendly checking that the food is satisfactory and that the customer is happy. the restaurant is spacious enough that you don’t have to listen to your neighbour’s chatter. I would give this restaurant an 8/10, it was just a dream!
