I had a wonderful meal there in June 2009. I was just passing through but decided to stop for lunch and what a gem of a find. The pub has an outstanding restaurant that serves great food with fantastic presentation. I really recommend this place to anyone especially if you are on your way to Gatwick. It serves as a perfect place to fill up before your flight!

We ate at the Green Rooms on Saturday 21st April for my birthday. An adult party of six, we didn't know what to expect as we had been told in advance that the whole bar area had been hired for a 60th birthday party. When we arrived we were shown to the conservatory, which was easily far enough away from the party for us to enjoy ourselves. The food was fabulous, and as I'm a vegetarian, that's not always the case. One of our party was delighted to have a chicken that 'actually tastes like chicken'! The staff were friendly and attentive, even with the large crowd demanding their time. Our one comment is that the menu could have been larger (only one veggie main course, and no, fish doesn't count!), but as a set menu, I suppose they have to limit it to reduce their costs. For four of us dining on the three course menu (£16.95) and two on the two course (£13.95), plus wine and soft drinks, we spent £135, pretty good value. We will certainly be going back!

In a picturesque part of Surrey, The Inn on the Green is a well-run, multi-faceted establishment: it’s a restaurant, a pub and a B & B. This was our second visit to the Inn. Last year we held our Wedding reception here and were both overwhelmed by the excellent food and attentive (but not overstated) service, making the day even more special.
This time the food was even better! If you enjoy haute or nouvelle cuisine with a predominantly British flavour, then you will be delighted with the Inn on the Green.
Note that the restaurant is at the back of the premises and should be considered as a separate entity from the bar area at the front. At the front you’ll find a traditional village local with banter and revelry no doubt reminiscent of the Inn’s 15th Century origins. It’s a super setting for a swift snifter before your meal. We also tested the bar food here and weren’t disappointed. It’s good solid pub grub.
But if you’re looking for something a bit special, unhurried and food that satisfies all your senses, the restaurant is the place to go.

My family (wife and four children) have been to the Inn on a number of occasions and have always found the food excellent, the service friendly and the welcome warm. This applies whatever the weather, but if it's fine day then it's great to take advantage of the spacious garden at the rear of the premises - and, having dined, you can walk it off with a stroll across the Green, opposite. But beware of the geese near the pond!

There can't be many - if any - better places to eat at in this neck of the woods. Excellent food, setting a good example to the many poor restaurants in Surrey, combined with pleasant service and sensible prices. Well done, long may it continue to please me and other clients.

Not very impressed - slow service, over-priced and not very interesting food, dull and pretentious menu. Won't be going back.

Stopped at your pub for a meal been meaning too for ages, and was disappointed by the treatment I received.
1. Drawn into an argument by your regulars over what top I was wearing, Not one member of staff came to my rescue. All I wanted to do is order my meal for my wife and I.
2. I love dogs, but not happy with your member of staff playing with your dog and then bringing my meal out to me in the garden. Couldn't have had time to wash her hands. The food was fine and the service was ok.
My treatment has put me off from coming into your pub again as I often pass by on my trips.

It’s easy to see on first impressions when an establishment takes itself and its customers seriously, and the Inn on the Green is one of these. The restaurant itself has comfortable chairs and tables that give each person room to move. I hate those very small tables where everything and everyone has no room to breathe never mind eat.
That is not the case at the Inn on the Green, comfort and space are the first impact here, and a very comfortable waiting area with deep sofa’s and coffee tables so that even waiting to be seated for the meal is done in a warm homely comfort.
The standard of the food at the Inn on the Green was actually a lot higher standard than I expected. The menu offers a wide range of favourites, Steaks and Pasta’s, Sausages and Sandwiches, but the chefs special is always worth looking at, and on the day of my visit the special was swordfish, which I always find hard to resist. So for my party it was Swordfish for me, Sausages and creamed Garlic mash for my wife, and our guests had the Penne Pasta Chicken with wild Mushroom sauce, and the club sandwich.
I actually can’t offer a fault on any of the food, the swordfish, which can be very hard to get right was cooked to perfection and had a glorious taste and texture.
My wife was very impressed with the Sausages which I was told were also used on the breakfast menu (they are also a B&B) and our guests really enjoyed their food too, to the point where we have decided to come back next week, even though it is some 30 miles from where we live.
The service and the speed of service was excellent, the staff were always handy and made sure that they could be caught with the briefest of eye contact. There was a good selection of wines, both standard wines and fine wines and champagnes. Paul the proprietor was on hand to offer his advice if required. I always like it when the proprietor gets involved and make themselves available. I think that it shows a commitment to the restaurant when owners
