I ate at the Haunch today with an old friend; a chance to catch up on news and also talk a little business. The food was excellent and pretty good value, particularly nice piping hot soup and tasty seafood chowder. My friend had the mushroom cassoulet and found it very good. Only downside was that the room wasn’t quite warm enough on what was, admittedly, a very cold and bleak day.

We were very disappointed with this place. We tried both the a la carte and the fixed price menu and found the food indifferent.

Fantastic food. Great choice, atmosphere and service. I eat out twice a week and like to travel far across the South and West Country. But in May 2007, I came across a most interesting and quaint establishment like never before in all my life. And the food did not let it down. I had the venison and my wife the fish, both meals very nice indeed. Great selection of wines which are very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone wishing for a quality dining experience. 9/10, Bravo!

A fantastic restaurant with an array of great quality, often unusual dishes with strong and interesting flavours. Also a very reasonably priced lunch and dinner offer of 3 courses for 10.00. Would recommend time and again! Well worth a visit.
