We were shoe-horned into JOJO’s on Saturday evening last as an extra order with four friends. Our casual and relaxed hosts joked with us about sitting on one another’s knees but for the food I would have stood on my head. Great tapas and plenty of it at very reasonable prices. Nikki is a whirlwind and I caught a glimpse of her bringing in some herbs from the garden during service, it doesn't get fresher than this. We'll definitely be back. Pat and Danielle.

Jojo's is a truly fantastic restaurant. We have been there twice now and both times we have left feeling like we have been out for the best meal ever. Not only is the food brilliant but the service is excellent and you are made to feel very welcome.

This place is gold-dust. We have lived in Whitstable for the last four years and we are spoiled by the several very good restaurants in Canterbury and some absolutely fantastic pub food within striking distance. We went to JOJO's last night for the first time and the food was really good. The calamari was some of the best I've ever had - crisp airy batter with tender squid inside. The lamb with mint and spicy peppers with goat’s cheese cracking was lovely. The service and attitude were great too. The fact that you have to book so far ahead is the clearest indication of the quality of the place.

What a fabulous place, the food is mouth watering, the atmosphere is fabulous and I wish I lived round the corner. Thanks for recommending it.

It was very disappointing. The food was of a terrible quality - the Parma ham was completely dried out and the meze was a crazy rip off for the price. It’s a great idea, but what a shame.

I really liked JOJO's. The food was tasty, the staff were excellent and the venue is great. That is the sort of place that I would aspire to own if I’d ambitions in the restaurant trade. There seemed to be something for everyone in our party without relying too heavily on the same old tapas dishes you find elsewhere. Welcoming, relaxed, good food, fair price - what's not to like?

A great concept. You can bring along your own wine and, as we ate there on a late summer day, we were able to sit outside with a chilled rose and indulge ourselves. We chose a range of vegetarian and meat / fish dishes and in true tapas style kept them coming. They were all good. The service was very good with the waiter willing to stop to chat but not in that false "have a nice day" way that leaves you empty. The downside with this place may be its popularity. Getting a table is easier now that it has been refurbished but such is the loyalty of the locals, you need to book. Once you are in and seated with your own wine opened and served, you will enjoy fine food and a really pleasant, pretence-free atmosphere. I would certainly recommend it.
