While having a nice walk around the city with a friend he suggested lunch somewhere, and we came upon La Tasca. Having never tried tapas I was a little sceptical, but the warm friendly Spanish waitress, and the warm décor calmed me down. We chose the chefs selection of tapas and it was great; no frills or pretentiousness, just really good food.

La Tasca at Nottingham is perfect for unpretentious eating. The atmosphere is great and the live music adds to the authentic Spanish vibe. My boyfriend and I have been eating there for over four years and always take visitors as we know we will not be disappointed.

This is a lovely restaurant – the service and food is very good. It's like being in Spain for a holiday. I recommend this place.

I've eaten at La Tasca many times over a period of five years and the food is always delicious. I love having a large choice of food and vegetarians have plenty of options there. The staff are attentive with a good sense of humour and the atmosphere is pleasant. I've never had a less than great evening there and having eaten at several restaurants, this is my favourite.

We ate at La Tasca at lunch time; we had the Menu Rapido which was fantastic value for money at only £4.95 for 3 tapas. The food was tasty and the service was friendly and relaxed. Well worth a visit for a break from the norm, just don't be intimidated by the massive menu!

An enjoyable experience with nice food, wine and service. It is what it is, a tapas restaurant, relaxed and friendly. A note to John, I holiday in Mauritius, Fiji, Barbados, etc, but loved this restaurant.

The food is gorgeous, and very filling! The service is great and the atmosphere is really relaxing and has that Spanish holiday feel about it. All the waiters and waitresses are Spanish which adds to the authenticity of it all. A wide range of choice for vegetarians! Very cheap at £2 - £4 a dish though it’s so nice you could end up eating so much!

Noisy, poor service, dismal food, poor wine list. But people still go. Then again, they also go to Torremelinos and Ibiza. Unless you fit that bracket, steer clear.
