I recently had dinner with colleagues at Lily's for a leaving do. We had a wonderful evening, Steve and Amanda and staff really looked after us, and the food was fabulous. Being a keen follower of local produce I was really impressed with the ethos of the restaurant to source locally where possible, and the steak from Teignmouth was delicious. I would not hesitate in visiting the restaurant again and would recommend it. Thanks again Steve and Amanda.

My friends and I from Exeter IVC Social Group often meet at Lily's for coffee and pastries on a Saturday, sometimes extending that to lunch. We find the atmosphere great and the staff are all very friendly, spending time chatting with us. We recently held a birthday party at the restaurant choosing our own individual menu following discussion with Steve. Eighteen of us sat down for the meal and it ran like clock work, the food was excellent and the friendly service from Amanda and her staff all made for a party to remember.

Lily's is a new restaurant in Exeter, which we found by chance. The place is tastefully decorated in art deco style. Steve and Amanda, the owners are friendly and make you feel very welcome. The food is excellent and good value for money. We have been to two of the themed nights and each one was very different, the ambience was superb, and the food was themed for the occasion. Amanda used simple but very effective decoration to make the room look stunning, and the artists who played were professional - a very good night out. We would heartily recommend it.

Whilst visiting family in Exeter we discovered Lily's and while enquiring about a reservation for an evening meal, we decided to stay and sample their lunch time menu, which I’m glad we did. They have a good selection for that time of day whether you are looking for a light bite with a coffee or something, which will keep you going for that bit longer. After our delicious lunch we decided not to look elsewhere for our evening meal, luckily they had a free table to accommodate our party. The evening meal was superb, the steak was the best I have ever tasted along with the local fresh monkfish, oh yes and the hand dived scallops, wow! This stylish restaurant offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which is easily affordable, even in this current climate. We shall be going back again, but this time for a themed evening, we can’t wait. 10 out of 10.

We went to Lily's on a Friday night after travelling the length of the country. They were very flexible with our booking and we had booked early but were delayed due to traffic. On arrival we were immediately impressed with the décor and the teapots as well as the welcoming service. Scallops to start were excellent and both of us had them. Duck for a main course was lovely, although if I had any criticism it would be perhaps that it had been cooked a minute or two too long. Chocolate mousse to finish was lovely, very different from your bog-standard mousse it must be said, and well worth a try, especially if nearly full. The service throughout was friendly and efficient, but not too efficient. My only regret is that due to chatting away with the staff as we left, we forgot to leave a tip. My penance - write them the review they deserve on here!

My wife and I visited Lily's for our first wedding anniversary recently, and were completely blown away with not only the beautiful design on the restaurant, but also of the quality of food and service. Having dined at many quality restaurants in the world I can honestly say that Lily's ranks up there with the best of them. I would not hesitate to entertain family or business associates there, and have full confidence in the owners to make every visit special. I noticed on the website that Lily's is advertising upcoming events, so my wife and I are certain to visit again very soon. Congratulations on a great restaurant!

We’ve been at the opening and it was superb. The fresh bread was really made by Oliver the French chef and the desserts were excellent, like in France. We’ve been in January and the French chef's gone. You can see it - the bread is bad quality - we think is frozen bread. We had the desserts, which were not the same quality. It’s a shame to start very well and finish with very bad quality food. We will try again in February, if the quality is still the same we will never come back.

Lily's knocks spots off nearly everywhere else in Exeter with its original and beautifully cooked food, attentive service and warm atmosphere. We had an excellent Christmas meal with a large group, which proved to be exceptional value. The starter butternut squash soup was velvety and beautifully seasoned, the turkey succulent and the Christmas pudding sublimely light and fruity. The meal was finished with excellent coffee and mince pies. Our second visit was equally wonderful as we sampled the excellent French-inspired menu, which is a refreshing change from the many Italian-type places which dominate Exeter. Perfectly cooked scallops, delightfully light gnocchi with a wonderfully umi mushroom sauce, juicy monkfish and tender pink lamb made for another wonderful meal. It’s highly recommended.

A must for those who love quality food, cooked and presented to an excellent standard. Great menu to entice those taste buds, a warm welcome, attentive staff and relaxed surroundings, excellent value for money - what a winning combination. Well done Steve, Amanda and team - the problem being - you want to keep going back for more.

Lily's Restaurant in Exeter is an absolute triumph. I went there recently with a few friends, and was really blown away with the very attentive and friendly service in beautiful surroundings. The décor is modern and inviting, and the atmosphere is very friendly. All the food was sublime; cooked to perfection and not a scrap left on any plate at the end of the meal. We were even treated to canapés and petit fours, which rounded it off perfectly. Three courses will set you back about £20-30, but believe me it is worth it. Utterly delicious!
