This warm little place offers fantastic food at great prices and good service. They do a three course meal at £9.95. The salads, vegetables and fries are £1.35 extra, but it is still unbelievable value for money. Coq au Vin, the chicken in the pot was fantastic, and so was the house wine. I will be back.

This is a nice, cosy, friendly and definitely value for money restaurant. Those who want to taste great food, receive excellent service and really have a relaxing time should visit this place.

We just returned from our second night at The Little French restaurant. Last night was not only brilliant from the food and service aspect, but we were given a free liqueur as a compensation for mussels not being available as a starter. So you can only imagine our disappointment after our experience this evening. We booked our table for 7.45pm and yesterday we asked for our wine to be put on ice at 7pm. Our wine was not on ice nor was it even in the fridge when we arrived. When my husband asked why this was the case, not only did he ignore the question, he ignored us for the rest of the evening. Our waitress was equally blasé and unhelpful. The only reason we stayed was we had just finished working a twelve hour shift and were in no mood to search for another place to eat. After an initial good impression, we felt that this is really a bad place to eat as the service is inconsistent and the food is mediocre.
